Great advice. I’ve often found if you can find a level of pure focus you really can get more done in one hour than you usually do in four. Getting good sleep, eating right, and exercising helps clear the mind so you can get into those grooves a little easier.

Animation & Visual Effects Alumni Take Home Top Prize in Student Academy Awards
Dragonboy, a film I posted last year, recently won a Gold Medal in the Student Academy Awards in Animation. You can see the film-makers (Bernardo Warman, Shaofu Zhang and Lisa Allen) accepting their awards below. I personally thought the film was an incredible effort for a student film. I’ve always been impressed with the work that comes out of the Academy of Art University, which is why I ended up attending the school back in in 2007. Unfortunately, I couldn’t afford to go for more than a couple years. It’s a great school though, and I totally recommend it to anyone that’s looking for a good animation school. You can read more about Bernardo, Shaofu, and Lisa by clicking their picture below.

Comic-Con 2011 Trailer
This trailer is for the much anticipated (by me) series that is a sequel to the Avatar: The Last Airbender series.
